Left the wine on the fruit for far to long, wine smells like rotten fruit

Did a batch from fresh Loquats once, smelled awful, like sulfur, splash racked it several times, smell went away in time and turned out to be very good wine. Loren

Starting Tomatoes and Peppers This Weekend

Had my maters in the ground for about two weeks now, started them from seed. Tough to grow good tomatoes down here in Florida, such a thing as Nematodes. I grow Hybrid Juliet's, a large grape like variety, very prolific and very good, eat them like candy and excellent in salads. Loren

    Greetings from Florida

Welcome, like Wade said, the Mango wil drop out a ton of sediment, a lot of work but the reward is worth it. I have made five gallons each the last two years. Will be doing another 5 when we get back to Okeechobee. Loren

What are you making and what have you made ???

Started a batch of Loquat early Feb. This has turned out to be a lot of work. I picked about three gallon of Loquats late Jan. Washed and removed seeds, managed to cut myself on the very first one, and with a very sharp knife that I had just sharpened. Anyway I managed to freeze 8 lbs. Thawed...

    New Labels from Runningwolf

Thanks Dan, sounds like a winner to me, I will be trying the Avery labels this time, I bottled 3 gallons of Merlot and 3 gallons of Burgundy today. They will be sitting until I can find the labels, will see what Wal Mart has, otherwise I have to go to the coast to find them. Loren:h

The wife fixed the traditional St. Patrick Day diner and when I asked what wine she wanted she said Niagara. Unbelieveable, this stuff was great, we drank the whole bolltle...
