I was making a batch of jalapeno wine yesterday and I accidently put an extra teaspoon in. Is there anything I can do or should I just prepare for the worst? The worst being I'll have to wait for years and years to drink it.

I recently bought a couple really old water jug carboys and I got to thinking about concerns. My question is, does anyone know if the old water carboys contained lead in the glass? And if so, should I be worried about this or is it only an issue with very long term racking?

If anyone has any for sale or that they just don't want I will buy or take them. I'm located in Springfield, MA and will drive up to an hour to pick them up. Thanks.
