    I put my 5 cambden tablets in yesterday so i could get ready to bottle. Crushed and added and it started fizzing out the top. Any reason why? Did it for about a min or two and quit. Never noticed it happening before.:a1

    Have a off smell from the wine..What's the ideal temp. for strawberry? I have the thermostat set about 73 degrees. I'm wondering if it stop fermenting then when I put it in the secondary and started back. Smelled better after a day in the secondary.

    My Muscadine

    Started My wild Muscadine wine Monday and it already smells good. Has a good lookin emrald maroon color if there is such. It had 1024 S.G before adding sugar. :hug

    To Oak or not to Oak

    I'm fixing to start my Muscadine wine and I was wondering about using Oak chips. I've read a little bit on it and it said it could harm cheaper wine kits,but I'm using wild Muscadines......Thanks in advanced for any advice.:sm

    :gbI picked some back in the fall. They have been in the freezer since then. Can they get freezer burn?.... If so, that means the wine will be no good?

    I used B- Brite to clean my carboy's. I thought that's all I had to use. That's all I've been using, since I started my wine. I bought some more the other day and she asked if I needed anything to sterlize....What should I use ????? Am I ok even though I didn't use sterlizing products...? :a1

    I put some camden tabs when I first started. I've been letting it set in the carboy since the end of July and don't plan on bottling till around the end of December. Will it be fine to wait and add tablets when I get ready to bottle?

    I sweetened my wine a while back and added my stuff to keep it from refermenting. I tasted it again the other day and want it a lil more sweeter. My question is it gonna hurt it to sweeten it again and add more stuff to keep it from restarting?

    Instead of adding all the sugar a recipe calls for I should go with half and take a reading. My question is when I add the sugar to my must, do I take a reading immediatly ? Or let it sit awhile? I making Muscadine and there's gonna be pulp in it will that make a difference on my hydrometer?
