    How brown is too brown?

The can was out dated. I got it cheap! Should have been a clue. It was very dark from the day I opened the can. I followed the instructions on the can. Brand was Alexanders sun country. I was hoping that the color would lighten with time but it really does look like root beer and I can't see it...

    How brown is too brown?

Hey there. I am making wine from a Liebfraumilch concentrate. It's Alexanders. It is really brown. Like, rootbeer brown. I have fermented it to sg .990 and sweetend slightly. It is a little weak tasting. Not sure I'm gonna like it but really it's the brown color I am worried about. Should I be...

    Got any good Ideas

Bob. So when you say the grapes in the primary first, you mean you would not add anything to the grapes but yeast and let it firment in the primary till... and then add all the rest of the stuff, juice water and what have you? What about more yeast? Not sure I'm advanced enough in this wine...

    Got any good Ideas

Apple is a good Idea. You think I should just buy some juice and mix the two or would it be better to buy fresh apples? I don't have a press and the last time I did apple I sliced them and added water. It turned out really good but it took forever to clear and finally had to add super klear.

I just sweetend and added 1/4 tsp potassium sorbate and 1 campden to each gallon. the sg was below.990...
