    If you post the IP address of the new server people could add it to their hosts files so they don't need to wait for it to resolve. Most DNS resolves within a few hours now but depending on how isp's cache the info it could still be days for some people.

    Do you mean on the side of the carboy or uneven at the bottom? I have an italian carboy that when i clear the sediment tends to stick to the side. I just give it a gentle tap with my hands and the vibration from that makes it drop to the bottom.

    If it's as good as people say for me it likely wont make it past gallon jugs. Just an FYI Lon bottled it in beer bottles with the caps :)

    Normal sediment after first racking

    Fermentation seems to be complete on this and there is about an inch and a half or so of sediment. Should I rack off to a clean carboy before degassing?

    After fermenting a few days you aren't dealing with PA anymore because a percentage is already alcohol :P What is your SG? on most kits you are looking to get under 1.000. So give your initial and your current SG :)

    You'd think but there is really only 3 stores and between then only 2 kinds of yeast lalvan 1118 and 1116. None carry pH test strips or SO2 test kits. So unless I just wanna do kits, don't get me wrong kits are ok, I'm kind of limited. Hence the need for online :) I checked out...

    I do like your method with the exception of the fact that you can't get an accurate initial S.G. for the overall must that way.
