    Other Tweeking Cheap Kits

While I'm pretty backed up with kits right now... this one looks to be a good one for anyone looking to tweak a cab.... $45

    Gift for mom

I'd give either of the kits above a try if you are willing to go that route for a sweeter wine. I have the raz peach (I think that's it) currently sitting right now after adding the f-pack few weeks back. Haven't tasted it since sweetening, but I did tweak this a bit with more sugar and a...

RJ Spagnols 2017 Restricted Quantity (RQ) Program Cut off Oct.12 2016

No rush here but I believe in HBS newsletter email yesterday it said that the first shipment of Jan (cab franc) should be coming in next week. But from what i saw on another post, the cab franc is released since someone was making it on FB. So just HBS seems to be getting their order a little...

    WineXpert Go Figure.....

Oh I know... that's why I was thinking of it as well. Because of that thread I also have another 3 lower end kits sitting here. It is a great question though, I've been searching to see if anyone has done the Island Mists down to 5

    WineXpert Go Figure.....

Great question - I was considering going down to 5 as well with mine and starting it the other week, but the instructions boldly say not to do to another size... so I have been contemplating between leaving it alone or ignoring WE..

    WineXpert Go Figure.....

Interesting use of the LP concentrate, I hadn't considered that but may need to try it. I have the IM Peach Raspberry sitting on my shelf for a few months now, may have to bump that up to do during the holiday. I was considering just adding some fruit to it (similar to tropical dragons blood)...

    Newbie-primary & secondary fermentors

My advise from starting this hobby back in July/August. Unless you are getting a kit, which isn't a bad idea when starting off, get a 7.9g brew bucket. I bought a kit that came with a 6.5g big mouth bubbler, then 2 more fermonsters when I had a bit of an issue with the fermentation wanting to...

    Other Tweeking Cheap Kits

My kits arrived last week, currently on the shelves but would like to get one started shortly, just not sure which. My initial reaction was that the boxes are rather small vs the other kits I've ever done, but that's of course expected. Has anyone thought of tweaks for either? From my reading...

I've found the $6 case pricing, but unfortunately you had to buy a pallet ~100 cases

    Other Tweeking Cheap Kits

hahahah glad I saw this, but you just cost me $100 bucks! I've been following this thread and planning to buy a Fontana kit to tweak (I started this hobby in Aug and already have 48 gallons going and have a kit on the shelf and dragons blood ready to go) but have been delaying ---- you just...

    Addition of MLF

Planning to pitch my first MLF to my first 3 juice buckets (have 2 more that need to go through secondary first) -- do you top up the carboy for MLF or similar to 2ndary fermentation let it have some air?
