I don't think this will give correct answer. When 1 ltr alcohol is mixed with 1 ltr water, the resulting volume of the solution is not 2 ltrs. It is less than 2 ltrs. I don't know the exact % by which the volume of solution is less than 2 ltrs. But I am sure it is less. Suppose it is 1.8 ltrs...
