Is there something as too many lees?

Meh, I'll give it a daily spin and see how it goes. I gave it a quick spin yesterday like Atribune mentioned yesterday and not much moved. Seems like it is glued to the wall. @Mud: I'll check it out when I get home. I'm not sure if the instruction booklet will give that info...

Is there something as too many lees?

OK so nothing to worry about then... We are cooking the RJ Spagnol Grand Cru Cabernet Sauvignon kit. It basically states to ferment in the primary until it reaches .997 (about 2 weeks) then degas and rack into secondary for another 2-3 weeks. After racking it, we noticed something that...

Hi there from East Lyme, Conn.

I stopped at Subway in Salem when coming back from a job site in Hartford and, surprise, I was next to Rob's Homebrew shop. Walking in and walked out with Grand Cru's Cabernet kit. Never heard of that store but they have a pretty decent inventory. Anyways I started that one last night :O)...

Hi there from East Lyme, Conn.

Bottled my wine! It tastes and smells pretty good, can't wait to see what it'll be like in a few months. Starting some Cabernet Sauvignon as soon as I get back from a somewhat big job in Schenectady. Anyone can recommend a Cabernet kit? happy new year all!

Hi there from East Lyme, Conn.

Let's see.... I'm not 100% positive on this one but I think it is RJ Spagnols Grand Cru International Collection Washington Merlot.

Hi there from East Lyme, Conn.

I'm really not sure how must the carboy can hold... I know for sure the bucket is 6 gals. We'll see, I'm sure it'll taste ok and do its job :O). I'll adjust this after clearing with a similar wine like Tom mentioned... The kit calls for Water but I don't know about that...

I didn't drink it I swear! That's what I figured so I left it as it. This is RJ Spagnol's Merlot.

    Carboy + sunlight?

Team, Should my carboy be sitting in a dark room like the basement or it is fine in the dining room (facing south) where occasional sun comes through? Thanks !
