Getting ready Batch #4 - Cranberry Lime.

Not really, I flavored to taste. I split the skeeter pee batch in half and then used frozen juice concentrate. For cranberry lime I might have used about 2.5 cans of cranberry and 2/3rds can of lime aid. Both were warmed and added as liquid concentrate. I also made and added 2 cups of simple...

Getting ready Batch #4 - Cranberry Lime.

I flavored half of my first batch with cranberry and lime. It was good but very tart. So I flavored the second half with strawberry daiquiri and simple syrup of course. We didn't bottle. Instead I put it in a 3-gallon cooler and took it to a party. Over ice, it was a hit!

    WineXpert Twisted Mist 2012

I had the same thing happen with this kit. Mine stuck in secondary at 1.01. I also hit it with energizer and nutrient and a brew belt, but it went nowhere. So I stabilized and it's clearing now.

    WineXpert Twisted Mist 2012

I picked up my Twisted Mist Lime Margarita / Hard Pink Lemonade kit yesterday at my LHBS and am starting it today. It came with 2 packets of Red Star Premier Cuvee. The supply list in the instructions notes it comes with a "packet of yeast". Was this a packaging mistake or should I add 2 yeast...

Hi Ryan. I made the Mezza Luna Red as my second kit. It turned out great. I just bought another one to drink this winter. Good luck!

    My cabernet is exploding!

Thanks all for the help. I racked half of the wine to a carboy and tried to grab a good amount of the must. I cleaned up mess #2. Fermentation looks pretty active in both.

    My cabernet is exploding!

Do you mean I should actually read the box? ;) It's a 6 gallon WE kit, and my fermenter was filled to the 23-liter mark. But now I see that the instructions call for a 30-liter (8 gallon) fermenter. So I guess that my fermenter's just too small. Any suggestions on managing this one? I have a...

    My cabernet is exploding!

I got the Lodi Ranch 11 Cab kit as a gift for Valentine's Day. I'm pretty new to winemaking. I started last Summer and have made only 6 kits to date. I pitched the yeast in the primary on Sunday afternoon. I've been locking down my primary, but I thought for the cab I'd just lay the lid on top...

    Hello from Baltimore

New Too and Your Neighbor Hi Shelly, I'm from Bel Air and am also new to home brewing. But it's grabbed me pretty good with no signs of letting up. Since I started in September, I've made 4 wine kits (viognier, mezza luna red, australian chardonnay, and seville orange sangria) and 1 beer kit...
