    WineXpert Not enough Oak?

Thank you all for your thoughts on this. I think when I return from my Wedding / Honeymoon in a few weeks I'll try some oak cubes in my next kits.

    WineXpert Not enough Oak?

Do you leave it on the oak then for 2 months? 6 months? before racking it off and then age some more or just leave it go?

    WineXpert Not enough Oak?

Do you find that the WE Selection series kits (Cabs / Shiraz / ect) lack oak flavor like your store bought wines... if you oak as per their directions? We put our Cab Sav against a $20 bottle from the store and you could instantly tell the lack of oak. Let me say though that our wine was...

WineXpert Has anyone registered their kit wine with the federal government for sale?

(Sold 2 houses, building a new one, surgery, emergency followup surgery, wedding planning, bachlor party =), new job) In the state of PA you only need a Limited Winery license to make and sell wine...

WineXpert Has anyone registered their kit wine with the federal government for sale?

I know someone in Ohio that runs a full wine bar off wine they make from WineXpert kits. They sell by the glass and bottels to go. Unfortunatly I don't live in Ohio anymore to pick their brain about the proccess they went through. So I was hopeing to find someone here that had done something...

    WineXpert Bulk or bottle?

Thanks for the insight. I think for now we will taste once we get to the end of the instructions and see where we are at. Part of the problem is we don't know what the "Base" taste is of the wine... once we are familar with the base we would be in a better position to tweak. We didn't taste the...

    WineXpert Bulk or bottle?

Can you over oak a wine? We put the oak in during Primary, if we add some in for bulk aging is it going to over oak our wines?
