    Damn, broke a carboy today

Yes! I recently purchased three new Italian carboys from two different suppliers that all have this “crack“ on the bottom. None of my older carboys have this “crack” on the bottom. I asked Matt from Label Peelers to look into it - here is the response from his Italian supplier: —————————————-...

Bulk Aging Larger Batches - 26 Gallons

Thanks for the info! I have found a few available at good prices - but I am wondering what to watch out for and what questions to ask. Can these be cleaned up and used no matter how old / nasty they are? Of course broken, leaking, or previously used for petroleum or nasty chemicals would...

    Carboy Purchase Recommendations

It seems that the majority of carboy purchases are local /used. I have had good success with this - but there are times when carboys are needed and used ones are not available. Also - I don't have a wine making shop close by so I have to purchase over the web... That being said - I recently...

    Carboy Purchase Recommendations

Thanks! I do keep an eye on FB Market and Craigs List. However, right now I don’t have time to travel around for used… In this case I am looking for recommendations for online sources for new carboys. Specifically where members have found good deals on quality Italian carboys.
