    These are some great ideas guys, thanks! I'll have to see what I can come up with. If it doesn't work, it won't break my heart to throw it out and try again - it's only a two-gallon batch, so I have all of about $5 in supplies invested in it. I have to say, though...this is killing me...

    OK gang - my first batch of wine appears to be a bust. I'm wondering if it's at all salvagable. You may recall that I posted last week (when you all thought I was a man for some odd reason) about my concern that my honey wine must was showing no visible signs of fermentation...I was patient...

    Thanks for the advice! Now I have another question: I'm only four days into my first batch. I'm following a recipe for honey wine from a book that came as part of my kit. This is what it told me to do: On day one I added all the ingredients except the wine yeast to the primary fermenter...

    Hi everyone! I'm new to winemaking (about 16 hours experience at this point) and have a really newbie question. I bought an equipment kit from our local wine/beer making supply store, and am a bit intimidated by all the equipment and the total lack of instructions given on how to use it...
