    Yes that answers my question. Thank You. What I meant by champagne facilities was the bottles corks and such since they are different to standard wine bottles / corks / corkers... Might bottle some of my next batch in about 4-5 beer bottles with priming sugar and see what happens!!!

    I got a 5 gallon wine kit for christmas and it calls for the addition of 3.5kg white sugar to the concentrate. I've only done a 1 gallon kit previously and that called for no additional sugar. Do you think I should go ahead with the method outlined in the instructions or is there an alternative?

    Mixing causes them to release Sulphur Dioxide (which is the thing that does the sanatizing). This isn't nice stuff and you should try not to breath it...
