Anyone get any mullberries this year. I've got about 15 gallons and there still falling here in Michigan.

I use permanent marker to write the number on the cork that coresponds with the batch number in my notes for that particular wine.

That fruit sounds like Mullberries that we have in the U.S. They are the shape of rasberries or black berries but about half the size. And they to cover the the ground with a deep purple color. They also color the kids shoes and socks(mom doesn't like that at all).

A simple syrup is just 2 parts sugar to 1 part water. Heat it on the stove and stir it until the sugar dissolves. That is a simple syrup. Just let cool a bit before you add it.
