I use 2 water jugs
one a 3 gallon one a 5 gallon and as long as you're really careful while moving them you wont have too many problems

Currently have 5 gallons of apple just like this one in the bucket right now fermenting.
It will go to the carboy in a week or so then another batch will get started.
I have one decent bucket that I trust and 2 carboys or 2 batches would be going at once.

The apple I made last year turned out great(it's all gone by now hehe)
my apple wine is turning out to be rocket fuel without even trying troy

you would probly want to use different yeast though
not much till it gets warmer next spring
doesnt stay warm enough in my house during the winter
well it could but i would go broke paying the electric bill
