I started a wine from frozen juice ( minute maid) on Feb 29,2016 . The starting SG was 1.070 I checked it a couple weeks ago the SG was 1.004 . I then put it in a carboy and checked again today it's still at 1.004 . Just wondering if I should add more yeast to take it under SG 1.000 . It's been...
Ok I've poured the bottles of wine into a carboy . Decided that 2 of them were enough alike it would be ok . The third one I tried mixing them in a glass first to make sure it wouldn't mess the taste up totally . I can live with that . It's only a small carboy . Still had a couple bottles left...
I think now I must have used the Potassium metabisulphite as the stabilizer before . It was over a year since I had made a batch from juice so must have just forgot . Thanks again for helping me out .
No I didn't add sorbate , just the Kieselsol that is the Super-Kleer . I never used anything else before I didn't have any troubles .

You should check it more then one day to make sure it really is done . It won't hurt it if you leave it the 12 days before you do anything to it even if it is done sooner .
I agree with you but do a couple little things different as soon as I pull my machine out to start I put the filters to soak . Then when I'm ready to start I run about a litre of water through first then a bit of wine , then do a taste test before I go all the way with the filtering . I've found...
