Just to confirm, there will be no ill effects if I uncork 6 gallons of wine that wasn't fully degassed that's been bottled for 8 months, warm it up, degas it, then re-cork?

Yes, they've all been quite gaseous.

The idea would be to uncork all the bottles, drain back into a carboy, warm up, degas, then re-bottle. No go?

No worries! I'll definitely try something on a smaller scale. She just likes Twisted Teas and I was hoping to recreate such a drink.

Thanks for the support. If yogurt is the solution (still surprised that could be so!) hopefully this thread may prove helpful to someone experiencing a similar issue in the future. :h

Saturday evening I had a sour cherry imperial stout and a bottle of Rochefort 10 with no problems. Whether it's eating yogurt regularly or something else, it's awesome that I'm again able to enjoy quality beer/alcohol with no problems. :db

Hard lemonade and hard tea are totally different.

I keep my buckets/carboys next to an oil heaters. Seems to do the trick.
