    Volume to start with?

The Wine Fermenter - 20 Gallon FDA Plastic should work fine. I did 125 lbs of blackberries and all the berries fit fine with room to ferment .

    Help with my apple wine

The filtration systems are relatively inexpensive and safe if you filtrate to micron of .45. It's not "iffy", most commercial wineries do not use potassium sorbate. It is just an option and something to consider, Cheers!:br

    Help with my apple wine

Rather then letting the wine ferment to dryness and adding sugars back, the better practice is stop the fermentation when unfermented sugar has reached the desired level. This is accomplished by fermenting at a cooler temperature. Whether this method is practical, you will have to determine that...

    I love spur pruning

There must be something wrong with me crooning. I have to admit it but I love spur pruning. It might be the cool fresh air, the hobbit looking vines or the excitement of a new grape year? A branch snip and a vine snap but seldom a cutter's mishap. The early morning is glooming the closer...

    Red Wine

Another attribute of oaking is tannins. The word tannin origin is tanna from high German and it does translate in English to mean "oak". Tannins + Health = Good. and Tannins make age worthy wines. Sent from my iPhone using Wine Making
