How did you survive the snow storm?

Friday night we returned home from an 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise to a foot of snow on top of our car that had to be cleared off before I got our luggage in it. Then when we arrived home I had to plow a bit through the snow in the driveway to get close to the garage. It sure was a shock...

    What's in your glass tonight?

Usually it is a glass of my wine but I buy a couple bottles of Swedish Hill Glogg every year around the holidays:

    New Trellis System

    Marquis grape harvest

The grapes on my 3 backyard Marquis vines were ripe and the birds, bees and squirrels have started their annual grape feast again. These are table grapes and we just can't eat them faster than the pests so I picked them all today and will make wine. I have about 45 lbs of grapes and guess that...

    2017 Gardens

This years garden is winding down with just 3 large potted cherry tomatoes, some swisschard, carrots, and a row of zinnias left. And a pumpkin vine my granddaughter planted. :b Larry

    Murphy's Law in the Vineyard

I was looking at my 5 backyard vines the other day and thought that growing grapes is not for the faint of heart. So many things go wrong, so many diseases and pests attack them. :b Larry
