    LWS = Local Wine Shop Yup my idea also, look around see who has what, and just get some. W/ amazon, when it arrives, its easy to return if you dont like what you get.

    i have a rough looking one i picked up from LWS. it works great, about 2" diameter (mini size of a bigger carboy brush) brush size works great. I have looked to amazon for some preplacement bottle brushes. They work ok.

    I have 4 of these type racks in my wine room. I use it not for wine bottle storage, but i have the shelves height set to wine case size.. this way i can store 4-5 cases on each shelf.

    years back i had an issue like this... I opted to get some copper pipe and cut a few pieces slipped them into the carboys... after a few weeks - month, problem gone.

    Is this a science project? Seems weird. I cant disprove it (not quite that much of a science type) but seems weird, "positive and negative charges" Yes I too wait to bottle. I have heard some will filter straight into new bottles and cork.

    How many of you don't check sulfite levels before bottling?

    I'm not so good about it. I look at the date of last activity, then adjust accordingly. This weekend, we bottled up some of 2017 / 2016 Riesling and Gewurtz. I last filtered and sweetened it 6/20, so i did nothing more than siphon into bottles and cork.

    yup, some can taste the sodium so they dont use it... I cant say I have ever used Sodium meta. we only use Pot meta

    50 kmeta / 50 water... Ok, so water is from the tap... 50 kmeta? whats your mixture rate. I really don't think its 1c kmeta dry powder and 1 cup water. Are you talking about a typical 1/4t - 5g water sanitizing solution? or a 1T - 1 gal water cleaning solution

    Back Sweetening process and dosages

    woups... I meant completed cool. I have found if i add the hot sweet mix the the wine, it has dropped out sugars after time. I have better sucess when the mixture cools to room temp then add to the wine.
