Yes, it will do the job, however, speaking from experience, never create a vacuum on any glass vessel without having a gauge inline to know what suction you have......... I have imploded a couple glass bottles doing so. One was a gallon jug the other was a 3 gallon carboy........... not fun!!

Doing quite well these days thanks. Been real busy but things are starting to go as planned for us. Taking a little R&R in June and spending a couple of weeks in Florida (Disney), then still planning that trip to NY and Cape Cod in August! So keep your calendar open there Waldo!
