Hey Everyone! It has been almost two years since I've last posted anything! (Shame on me!) Anyway, I took a two year haitus from wine making, but do have a batch of Borolo in a carboy from two years ago. Is it any good????? I know I need to bottle it!!! Thanks for the advice!!!

No, of course the lids were not on tight (how stupid am I?) so that is probably what I am smelling. Only time will tell I guess. One of the kits was the Mosti Limited Edition Sangiovese!! The other was the Spagnols Pinot Noir. I am so bummed, but will never make that mistake again!

Honestly, I got lazy. I have two kits brewing and left both in the primary for 30 days. Smells funny, although it is in morning and I am drinking coffee. I just racked to secondary and added the oak. Did I just ruin both kits? SG is right around .995/.998. I did not add the yeast nutrient...

All of my carboys are empty!!!! I ordered a few of the Meglioli kits from George and I can hardly stand the wait!! I have never had all of my carboys empty before!!!!! Anyone else in the same boat?? Oh Well, we are in the wine-making business, patience is necessary!!! Francie

Dean, How long would you "oak" the wine? I think I would like to try this kit since I liked the Rosso Grande w/o skins!! Imagine the kit with the skins??!!! Yummy!!

I followed the directions to a "T". It probably could use more oak, but I did not venture off. I am thinking of doing another one!!

Hi Wade, I did the Rosso Grande last year, bottled in April. This wine is wonderful!! My batch was over 16%alcohol!! You will not be disappointed!! Francie

Perhaps to even discuss certain wine kits, although opinions are just that, opinions. However, I did make a post comparing Amarones (WE vs Mosti).

I'll exchange one of my kids---got a 3 1/2 year old who is lucky he wasn't the first (if you know what I mean) LOL! Just kidding!! My mom says she enjoys being a grandmother more than she did being a mother!! (grand kids go home, and she can spoil them rotten and not feel too guilty!)
