I bought 5 Acres outside of town, some of it floods. So I am planning on growing a mix of Elderberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, and grapes.
I was watching a wine making video on you tube and in passing the speaker was the the large blackberries that come from throne-less...
The top rack was done that way (First one I posted in this thread).
Yes, I was originally using just using hole saw. That's how I got started on the hole endeavor over year ago.
Thanks, all!
Once I perfect my system for making the face plates: I want to make plates floor to ceiling along one wall in my cellar.
I made a few of single row racks as Christmas presents as well.
I get "this is too sweet" from wine snoobs a lot. In the end dry or sweet your never going to please everyone.
I've had one person say my wine is to weak and just tastes like grape juice, and someone else push away a glass of the same wine away saying it was too strong.
My wife is not a...
Finally, I tasting that Watermelon seconds. I can't decide if the watermelon spoiled or not is has a slight rubbery taste to it. Probably the worst wine I ever made. Now I am going to have to go on a Watermelon wine mission and make one that tastes good.
Going to wait until local...

So I purchased my overpriced trash can (I mean 20 gallon fermentation bucket). Which I am totally excited about. It’s just a bit taller than my stir stick, but the must will not be. I am thinking maybe I should break it in with a 11 to 17 gallon batch of Dragon’s Blood.
Since it will need...
I am normally a rock and roll kind a guy, but lately I have country tunes in my wine room. Totally cliché stuff like Dust on the Bottle, copper head road, yesterdays wine, bottoms up,etc.
I am making a batch of Blackberry wine right now, I am super excited about. Most of the blackberries were picked by my deceased father-in-law. I plan to top off all future Blackberry batches off with it, or at least decending bottles of it.
Yeah remember thinking coming on start bubbling, and then a week later just stop already. Once you have your 10 carboys and 100 gallon bottled you'll find a rhythm.
I check my wine now not sit and watch it ferment. I however still get very excited about recipes.
