The best homemade wine ever tasted

That was a really fun night! Great company and some nice wines. But I have to agree, that Nights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was something special. Nicely done @crushday!

My Vineyard Notes 2022 vs 2023 (Northern CA) - 1 month delayed

I do tend to agree, although the Harvest issue with dates is frustrating in general. I'm really hoping the delayed Harvest will help with my barbera, which typically has really low ph. Last year I had to let it go to 30 brix to try to get the pH to come up. So what are your thoughts on watering...

My Vineyard Notes 2022 vs 2023 (Northern CA) - 1 month delayed

Here in Norcal I did a comparison of the last 3 years with regard to my Barbera Vines and Veraison. It is astonishing how far behind this year is from previous years. The first picture is July 20th 2021, the second picture is July 21st 2022, and the third picture is today.

    Please help!

Denden, where are you located in california? I am in Northern California in Rocklin.

    Please help!

I agree with Denden, the leaf curl is concerning and that is not powdery mildew. Likely some sort of pest. Definitely use some sort of horticulture oil treatment in concert with the copper or sulfur for the powdery mildew and you will be fine.

Determining why the wine I made is below expectations

Hi NorCal, So many thoughts! First, I would love to try that Barrel. Mourvedre and PS is an intriguing blend. Secondly, referring to your other wines, this is why I don't typically separate the free run from pressed. I think you run into issues with pressed wine not being usable, whereas it...
