WineXpert Island Mist Hard Pink Lemonade

Thanks Jim and Steve. I checked out Label Peelers, but also like to support the two local suppliers unless there's a big price difference. I called the mom and pop shop nearest to me first. They didn't have the blueberry, but did have the Pink Lemonade (priced at $75). While I wasn't set on...

WineXpert Island Mist Hard Pink Lemonade

I want to try the Blueberry Pink Lemonade too. I'll have a an empty fermenter and carboy very soon, and this does sound like a nice summertime drink. I'm wondering if I'll find it locally, or I'll have to order. Is there a preferred place to order from? Bob:ib

    Water Soluble Spray Glue?

Oh, yea, I use the Avery program to label some herbal and supplement formulas I make - tinctures and capsules. I haven't used it for my wine labels. I like doing those in Corel and printing them at my job. Shhhh :p B/c my printer at home sux. Bob :ib

    Water Soluble Spray Glue?

Sure, any Corel templates would be great. I've used my first labels basically like a template, just changing the colors, text and fruit/berry pic for each wine. But I was thinking it might be nice to vary the basic design a bit too. Can we just share files in the thread as an attachment? And let...

    Water Soluble Spray Glue?

Well hell, that makes perfect sense really - probably is better to spray the hairspray on the entire sheet at once, and as long as it dries pretty fast, cut them out afterwards. But if you try the other way, let me know which you prefer. Thanks again, Bob :ib

    Water Soluble Spray Glue?

I cut the labels, then lay them on a sheet of newspaper and give them a light spray, so the overspray really wasn't a problem. Good to have the option of using either the spray or the sticks, then. And thanks for the tip with the hairspray - sounds like a good option that will also clean off...

    Water Soluble Spray Glue?

Here's an update. I picked up a couple glue sticks over the weekend, but haven't bothered to even try it yet because I decided to try soaking the bottle with the Elmer's Multipurpose Adhesive overnight and was happy to find the label slid off easily and cleanly. leaving no residue, the next...

    Other Old wine kit

I just bought a bunch of supplies from an older couple who aren't making much wine nowadays. Some brand new items and some older and in need of a good cleaning. I paid about 25% of the cost if I bought everything new from a shop. The best item is probably the Ferrari Floor Corker I was thrilled...

    Water Soluble Spray Glue?

"School glue", as in Elmer's? That's what I was originally thinking of trying (spreading on some watered down Elmer's), then I realized I has a can of Elmer's Multi-purpose Spray Adhesive. I'm not sure if that's just a watered down version of regular Elmer's Glue in an aerosol, or not - honestly...

April Fools Day Joke on us

I ALMOST wish my few grape vines were covered in snow like yours. I still haven't pruned them, and I'm getting nervous that they might come out of dormancy before I do. The plan is to do it today or tomorrow. Getting ready to take my daughter out to lunch, then come home and change the...

    Digital scale recommendations

Here's a link to one I bought about a year ago. I got the 500g capacity one. Besides winemaking and other hobbies, I also do a lot with medicinal herbs and supplements, so use it quite a lot, and no problems with it at all. I also picked up a set of calibration weights for about $10 on eBay...

    Water Soluble Spray Glue?

Thanks for that suggestion. I never would have thought of using milk. I also found by searching the forums more, that many people use glue sticks. I think I'll give both a try and see which I prefer. Bob :ib

    Empty cases

That's a good idea. I've been wondering about this myself. I have quite a lot of bottles, and it would be nice to have suitable boxes, with dividers to keep them all neat and organized. I think I'll hit up a near by liquor dispensary tomorrow. Thanks. Bob :ib
