I have done a cranberry wine from dried cranberries, ocean spray cranberry juice 1lt and what cranberry jelly that was left from Xmas and appears to be doing well at the moment. Added some red Grape concentrate to give some extra body. will let you know how it goes.
Hi have just started making wine again after a 39 year break, just wanted to ask a question about the recipiefor DB as it said to add 4 gallons of water. I would normally have boiled this but it doesn’t state that. Did you boil yours?

So I take it that the wine I have made is about 11/12% which is ok for a dry wine.
Probably needs to mature for 12 months to get to a good point and drink.

When I looked on the little chart that cane with the hydrometer, 0.90 reads -4.5 % and —79 sugar per litre.

Which is not enough for preserving and maturing from what I remember, unless I fortify, which I am not thinking is good...

This didn’t give a reading a reading on hydrometer but had read that unless a certain quantity hasn’t been used then a hydrometer may not give accurate readings.
