    You could use some apple juice, which would bring down your alcohol, but at that point you could drink it in a pint glass and call it apple cider.

    I'm curious....vitamins in wine?

    Do the vitamins that are in fruit get retained when they are fermented into wine? Not that I'm saying that I'm planning on getting all my vitamins from wine or anything, but I'm just curious.....all those berries in Dragon Blood and all.....do the vitamins get destroyed in the fermentation...

    I just bottled my strawberry white merlot, and while it says blush on the box, it came out a dark red. Is everyone's red, or is mine just odd? Tastes fine, but definitely not a blush. I notice that they really jumped up in price on Amazon lately too.

    Be aware!!!! Chinese carboys

    I just bought a 6 gallon today, and it has the same mark on it. Actually, all the carboys on display at the local store had them as well, so I think it's just a relic as well. I'm not driving back to exchange it. I'm sure it will be fine.

    Has the slurry been sitting in the fridge for the last couple weeks? If so, it should be fine to use.

    Skeeter pee just really isnt that good

    I wasn't that thrilled with it either, although I have managed to drink all but one double bottle. I like the dragon blood much more, and even that I didn't like right away. It took a couple months to be good.

    First time making SP

    I like sweet wines. When I make SP, I end up backsweetening to between 1.020 and 1.024. It tastes like sweet lemonade.
