    Skeeter Per flavor weak?

Skeeter Pee flavor weak? So I started another 5 gallon batch and I racked it a second time today. It tasted a little less lemony than normal. Not sure why. Anyone had this happen? I'm thinking maybe the lemon juice flavor mat have been weaker. I'm also wondering how i can save this batch...

    Temperature correction for specific gravity

Does anyone see the need to correct your SG reading based on the temperature it was taken at? I see a lot of people on different forums talking about it. From what I can tell it makes very little difference in the range of temperatures i'm working with. 68 to 73f. I was going to modify my...

    Primary size question?

Thanks for the help everyone. I think I've decided to buy a couple more 6.5 gallon buckets and split the batch up. I'm limited on storage space and I think a 20 gallon bucket might be a bit too much to handle full of liquid. How much yeast should I add if I split it up? 1 packet per bucket?

    Muriatic acid

Anyone use diluted (10:1) Muriatic acid to clean our carboys? I have several which are clean but they have a white film ( calcium) on them which will not come off. My thought is that it would be fine as long as I rinse then we'll.

    Catawba Grape Harvest Question

So I have some Catawba vines that are three/four years old. This year they seem to be ripening very early. Most of the clusters looks very ripe, but still have some random green berries on them. The grapes smell very good and taste sweet. I few berries are drying up and turning into raisins...

Splitting a 5 Gallon Primary Batch

I would like to start making some larger batches. Is it possible to start a 5 gallon batch (primary) and then separate the batch into 5 carboys (secondary)? Just curious if this would cause any problems. I have limited storage space and carboys work better......
