    Other Tweeking Cheap Kits

I havent considered liquid smoke but I have retrieved charred oak chunks from camp fires and hacheted a supply of toasted oak chips that worked as good as store bought

    Other Tweeking Cheap Kits

you are absolutely full of it to pretend you can make good wine from old juice. They have an expiration date for a reason. Ive made good wines from fruits, berries and teas, good kits and cheap kits, but the wine i made from Amazon's cheap kits were flawed

    Other Tweeking Cheap Kits

I tried Amazon wine kits and got old juice that did make a wine but oxidized before it matured. At least recommend they buy from a reputable dealer.

    What is this fruit?

I started a batch of persimmon wine and soon had a bucket of pudding. They seem to be all pectin.

    Potatoe Wine

I'm thinking you have rotten potatoes. Many low budget wines are available; skeeter pee, apple and OJ and such. I have seen potatoes as an ingredient in a beer B4 but see no use to starch up any wine.

    Schwans ice cream buckets

I read this....The best food grade buckets are HDPE, symbol #2. HDPE represents high-density polyethylene. The molecules of HDPE are more tightly packed and stable than other food grade plastics, meaning less plastic can leach into your precious food stores. HDPE also builds a better bucket...

    Fermenting Temp

I think you'll do fine. There 's a lot of flavor in them. I've made second run muscadine that turned out nice. 65 is a good temp for me.

    Mold!!!!!

I found if you dont get B Brite rinsed good it will promote mold. Sometimes I have a little tupperware bowl for soaking small stuff and I have come back to the cellar days later and found it molding cause I forgot to dump the B Brite and rinse it.
