Hi i froze the plucked,heads in freezer. I have starting pulling. They seem to be turning brown. Wonder if,they,will,be okay. Washed them 1st ill,try some without washing.
I have a gal cherry mead bulk,aging I may take half of it and add choc I bought my bars at a pharmacy in candy isle. There are a lot of different types of expensive dark choc.
Made the elderberry wine with dried elderberries last April. Bottled this week. Very good I Oaked it too. Drank the remainder that,couldn't be bottled. Yum.
You can top off with more mead or wine. I use water if it isn't very much. If I don't want any change to the flavor you can go to the dollar store and buy marbles add them to the mead.
I don't use the bottled tannin I brew up some tea and use a cup of it. Brew tea then drink make a,second cup with same tea bag that will have less or no caffeine and mostly tannins. I made one with sun tea instead of water was very good.

Ok when i can like to saw pickles or tomotoes i use a hot water bath method to seal and prepare food for storage would this work for the simple syrup for longer storage i never tryed the cold water way. Thanks
My 1st skeeter pee bottled this week going to try some today tasted great when i bottled it i used a yeast slurry from a elderberry wine. Im thinking slicing lemons and limes adding to wine. Getting fancy put sugar around edge of glasses. Made my label just paper but fun to make.
