    synthetic corks

Yeah, I saw that somewhere myself after having just bought a 1K count. This was about 3 1/2 years ago and I'm guessing I have about 400-500 left [I do a lot of 1.5L bottling and also will use non-synthetic corks is why they're not all used.]. I'm to frugal/cheap to discard what I have so will...

    synthetic corks

Many years ago in communication with Nomacork I was advised to use the Select 900 series with my floor corker. Over the many years I've used Nomacork I've not run into any issues but then I don't think I've ever had one in a bottle for much over three years.

    Oak Chips and cubes (sanatization)

This is my first time using cubes... I'm making a WE Super Tuscan kit. The instructions just have me putting the dust bag and chip bag of oak into primary without any other instructions (though I put them into the cheese cloth bag along with the grape skins). The third bag which is a bag of...

    WE vs RJS

I've a preference for RJS over WE. However because of where I shop I do 2-3 times more WE kits than RJS. Guess my preference for RJS isn't that strong. :h BTW, the RJS Super Tuscan is one of my favorites!

How long do you typically age white wine kits?

The most I'll do is 3 months bulk age followed by 3 months bottle age. Most of my white wine kits are low end and only get 1 month bulk and 1 month bottle aging before starting to pop the corks. Often enough there seems to be several bottles from a batch that are not consumed for a year or more.

What wine kit would you suggest?

I like both but have a preference for RJS over WE kits.

Looks very similar to the Polish Perogies that were a real treat that Mom, Grandmothers and Aunts would make on a regular basis.

    No nose

That is a very interesting observation. It does make sense that you'd loose some aroma.

I think I see it. Maybe after you get some responses you can say where in the photo to look?
