    Carboy or Bucket?

Just want to second what was posted about craiglist. If you live near a big city you won't have much a problem finding someone trying to get rid of an old carboy ($20-$30). Also, it's worth checking with friends that may have one lying around.

    Alexander's Sun Country Concentrates

I started a Cabernet with Alexander concentrate about 6 months ago and I think it has shown excellent progress with body and taste. I feel like it will have comparable results to the Cabernet we made from vintner reserve. I did 3 cans for my 5 gallon batch, which cost only about $40.

    First Try at Strawberry

I will be watching this thread to see more input. I made strawberry wine about 18 months ago per recipe from jack Keller. Using 15 lbs of berry for 5 gallon gave me a fairly nice result. I would surely use more on a second run at this, but originally I was just following recipe outline.

    What size Fermenter needed?

Good point that may be a possibility. We got 4 pails at a shop in PA that are coming from a distributor in Hammond, NJ. He is bringing them in from Chile.

    What size Fermenter needed?

Hello, I have done only 5 gallon batches of Wine up to this point. However, I purchased from my LHBS a 6 gallon pail of juice, which I will pair with an 18 lb lug of grapes. Any suggestions as to what size fermenter will be necessary? Along with this any suggestions for a discount website...

    Dandelion wine (from WineMakers)

Going to try! My grandfather has been making Dandelion Wine for years, 30+. Last year I gave it my first try. He dug up a recipe under his mounds of papers, but he wasn't sure If it was the same recipe he had used. He is 96 years old now so he couldn't recall how exactly he made it the last...

    Bulk Grain Buy

Still going on? I'm clearly really late on this post from 2 years ago. Is this something that you do regularly? I'm working in the area and would be interested if it comes up again.

How did you do it? I'm starting to get the basic equipment to do it myself. Just curious where did you pick all up your supplies?

Bump Thanks for posting this website! It's pretty awesome and I'd like to see more wine makers use it. The share recipe feature they just added is excellent.
