    Still fermenting after a month!!!

I just took another reading, and the reading is still .00. I transferred it to another carboy and the bubbling stopped. It looks and smells fine (Tastes like lime juice). Hopefully it well stay that way. If so, I will add more potassium sorbate and campden tablets to it and then back sweeten.

    Still fermenting after a month!!!

I haven't back sweetened or done another hydrometer reading yet because I was worried about stirring up the sediment and am unsure if that will affect the clearing (It is clear now). If I don't have to worry about re-suspending the sediment I will take another reading. Is it possible I stirred...

    Still fermenting after a month!!!

I am making a lime skeeter pee and the hydrometer reading was stable for several days and the gravity was just a hair above .00 I added the campden and potassium sorbate, sparkolloid and degassed. A couple days later I started seeing tiny bubbles rising and it has been doing this for two...

    Why is my wine tingly?

Would it help to let it breathe after opening, or can I pour it back in the carboy and degasse it more?

    Why is my wine tingly?

I just tried a bottle of wine from the first kit my wife got me, and there is something slightly off about it. I think there may be an almost inperceptiable tingling on the tip of my tongue. I don't see any bubbles and I don't see a change in the gravity. What could it be? Am I...

    Easy Peesy

How long dose fermentation usually take? Around a week? My fermentation seems to be going a little slow, probably due to the acid content, but the daily hydrometer reading seem a bit much. I feel like I'm wasting my pee.

Is that rum extract or imitation rum extract?

    Mojito Skeeter anyone?

Has anyone experimented with how much mint extract to use, or is a 1/2 bottle per 3 gallons the standard?

    Allergies

The kit is made with peanut butter powder, which has had most of the oil removed. This is important because the oil will spoil much more quickly than the beer and could ruin it. Perhaps this is why cleaning after using peanut butter powder is not as high maintenance as I expected.

    Allergies

For those interested, this was Midwest's reply. Thank you for contacting us. When you clean them, be sure to use the same sanitizer. There should be no residual peanut oil, but that will help ensure there is nothing left behind. Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional...

    Allergies

This is a general cleaning question, although I am more worried about a beer I made than my wine and I hoped you could help. I just finished bottling a chocolate peanut butter beer from Midwest that my brother got me. As I was cleaning my equipment I got to thinking about peanut allergies and...

    Twinkie wine

It was basically that I had a bunch of twinkies, saw a Simpson's episode where the twinkies turned to alcohol, and thought it would be fun to try and even more fun to tell others I tried making it. My logic was twinkies have sugar and sugar makes alcohol. That was all the thought put into it.
