    Price increase notice - Allinonewinepump

Just ordered mine. After a few snafu's bottling last weekend, I can easily justify this purchase now. Also means less equipment to clean/store (no autosiphons, degassing whips, or bottling wands), which I love. Now if time would just speed up a little so I could get it and start...

Wine Floaties - Not sure what this is

So far it seems that most of the wines I've finished so far always have some small amount of co2 that comes out when i open the bottle. I'm not talking soda bottle style, more like champagne that's been in the glass for a bit and just has some bubbles coming up the side of the glass. No...

    "WOW!" 's Worth Noting

Is there a recipe for this somewhere? Sounds like a variant I'd like to try.

Wine Floaties - Not sure what this is

Ok, so I've tried searching on here and various other sites to see what these "floaties" in my finished/bottled Pear wine could be. So far I haven't found a good / satisfactory explanation so I'm hoping you guys can help me out. Here's all the details: 5/10 - Started Pear Wine from can of...

Thanks Arne! I'll give the gentle stir a try. I've tried the twisting bit already without much luck.

Sparkolloid Lingering on Sides of Carboy

Hey everyone. I've got a question about Sparkolloid and haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else. I'm hoping someone else has experienced it and can tell me if it's normal and how I can fix it.... I have two 3 gallon batches of Triple Berry Skeeter Pee that I added Sparkolloid to about 3...

    Lalvin RC212 & N requirements

I'm just going to take over this thread and use it all for myself ;) Lol. Sorry to keep posting, but I wanted to provide an update on how this is going, because I seriously hate going into a thread where someone just disappears and never says if their recipe turned out ok, or if their solution...

    Lalvin RC212 & N requirements

Well, for better or worse, I decided to add some DAP. Never had a batch of wine put off a sulfur smell like this so I'm kind of panicking and had to do something. I've whipped it a couple of times today to try and get the sulfur out of the liquid. Seems to help some, but over the course of the...

    Lalvin RC212 & N requirements

I realize this is an old thread, but after searching hight and low for information this morning, this thread seems like the best fit for my question and I'm not a fan of creating a whole new thread for a similar question....so here goes: I started my first kit red wine Thursday night...

    Skeeter Pee/ Oak

BUMP. I'm searching to see if this is something worth trying. I've found one thread so far where one person tried it and thought it was good, but that's about all I've found. If people are recommending to take 1 gallon and try it, and I correct in assuming that the oaking process is done after...

    Dragon Blood in 15 days!!!

Just bottled my first "dragon blood" batch last night. 3 weeks to the day of starting it. I wanted to get it in the bottle this week because i'm going on a sailing trip next week and want to bring some along. It looks pretty darn clear so I'm hoping mine doesn't put out a lot of sediment over...

    Dragon Blood in 15 days!!!

So I started by first batch of Dragon Blood a couple weeks ago, racked to the carboy last Tuesday with the addition of k-meta, sorbate, and bentonite. I racked again this Monday because I'm going to be out of town this week and I'm trying to have this batch ready to go by the time I go on a...

    Dragon Blood in 15 days!!!

For the juice wines, it is as simple as finding juice flavors you want to use and fermenting as normal? 100% juice only? All juice no water? Sounds too easy to be true, but then again so is skeeter pee :)
