    Terror on the wing

Last season I lost the better part of my crops to birds. I tried hawk and owl decoys and reflective scare ribbons. I need a more effective solution. It is amazing how fast cardinals, painted buntings and blue birds can wipe out a crop. Maybe I should lease the place out to bird watchers

    Pruning Vines

We had a very late frost. I recieved quite a bit of damage. Some of my vines produced succers. I was afraid to prune them at that time. Most of my second year vines have now made extensive growth elsewhere. Would you reccomed that I prune the succers back now in late June?

    Propagating Norton Grapes

I would like to propagate some new Norton (Cynthiana) vines from cuttings but I have read that this doesn't work. Has anyone had experience with this, is it true? If so, do you know an alternative method?

    New Guy

Hello everyone, I am trying to rebuild a vineyard my father started. It fell into neglect after his death. I find that I now have time to work on the place. He and I planted most of the vines by hand when I was a young man 30 yrs ago. Dad was then in his 50's(as I am now) I will have questions.
