    STEAM JUICE EXTRACTION

You're welcome, Cracked Cork. We keep our marbles stored in the bottom pan as well.

    STEAM JUICE EXTRACTION

ithink, That looks very similar to the Victorio brand, and the Mehu-Liisa brand juicers that are selling on Ebay. Good find. Great price! :)

    STEAM JUICE EXTRACTION

I have a friend that has that model and she loves it. The only thing to consider is that because it's aluminum, it would not be wise to use it for anything acidic, such as tomatoes, because it can cause pitting. Have fun! :) You'll love your steam juicer!

    Old vines....starting anew....?'s

Hi All, As I noted on a previous thread, we have some very old vines that were here when we bought our house. Still have no idea what kind of grapes they are. DH finally worked up the gumption to prune and clean it out this weekend. (We had tons of blackberry vines that had become...

    Steam Juicer

I always put a couple of marbles in the water pan.....As it boils you can hear a constant tap, tap, tap....After boiling for awhile, it will slow down and you will know that you need to add more water. If you do boil dry, try the powdered "Bartender's Friend" cleaner......It will clean the pan...

    Craigslist gold

OK, so I've picked up unit # 2. It's an Easy Vac Aspirator PM 60, 115V 60Hz, 4.8 Amps, Thermally Protected. This one also comes with brand new canisters and tubing. Does anyone have experience with either of these machines? I'm going to set them up this weekend and practice with them using...

    Wine thief....literally!

So sorry to hear of this....it's frustrating to say the least. BUT....on the bright side, at least it WASN'T your credit cards and your purse........that would have been a much bigger headache! Hope they do find out who did it.....Maybe if it's the kids, they'll post something on their FB page???

    Craigslist gold

Hi Wade....It's a DeVilbiss Vacu-aide, Model # 7305P.....Has a power cord, but also has an internal rechargeable battery. It's brand new, and was only used 4 or 5 times while she cared for her terminally ill father at home. Now...after I posted here this morning, I received another email from...

Great find Gaudet! Hope you can figure it all out and get 'er working! Thick stuff floating on top???

Thank you Appleman! I think I've learned this time to always get a starting SG!

    Thick stuff floating on top???

Appleman, Again, you're correct. The SG reading is 1.014......(I forgot to put the zero in.) I know I need to remember to get the beginning SG....I know...I know...but I forgot! I'm learning! In this recipe I did not add sugar. I used 11 quarts of juice 1.5 tsp yeast nutrient 3 tsp pectic...

    Thick stuff floating on top???

Arghhhh..... I've messed up again and would appreciate your help. On 3/10, I made a batch of Ceres Youngberry using only juice and forgot to get the initial SG reading... Yesterday I opened it and it had a thick coating of sludge floating on top...Is this normal? With much hesitation, I...

    ? about Grape juice wine...

Thanks, IQ...I like that attitude! I know I'm not the only one who has made these mistakes. One thing I can say that I've learned is to S-L-O-W down and not try to be making wine where there are too many other things going on when I can be sidetracked.......that's really what happened. I was...
