GaDawg, I have never fortified any of my ports. They came out to be about 19% abv and are delicious with some time on them.
But I agree with you, if I was to fortify, I would definitely try the Cointreau.

Thanks, Mike. BTW, your dinner sounded delicious and I am assuming you are talking about the CC Yakima Chard?
I have made the CC Showcase Chard which turned out pretty darn good. Will have to try the Yakima Chard, for sure. :)

Mike,
Have you made the Orchard Breezing CranApple Chard? I picked up a kit and was wondering if you have made it or know of anyone who has?
I have heard good reviews. I am not a fan of sweet wines but am going to give this a try. In the ferment bucket today.

Please heed ibeglowin's advice!!! This IS the best cab kit out there. Just follow the directions and let it age. You will be glad that you did!!!! :)
Kathie
Roger, I have made both......the WE with skins (which was off the hook good!) and the MM Rennaisance. To be honest, I love them both and the more age they have on them the more great they are!!! :)

Dan, I am waiting for my CranApple Chard to get here. (Hopefully today)
If so, I will start it this weekend. Will it be tasting pretty good for Christmas giveaways? Or will it taste "green" because of lack of aging?
Kathe
Dirtydawg,
I am waiting for the cranberry chardonnay to be shipped to me. It is not an Orchard breezing kit. I was wondering if I should use just 1/2 the Fpack on this one?? I want these to be Christmas gifts this year. :)
