    sweetening wine

As a rule of thumb... I generally add one cup of sugar per gallon to a dry wine and it ends up about 1.010. This is a nice acceptable level for the folks and my house and friends. We are not dry wine folks. Maybe one day my taste will develop? To answer one question Potassium Sorbate will...

    Greetings, from Nashville.

Hope you enjoy your visit to our area. If free on a Sunday afternoon, you may want to check out Old Millington Winery near Millington. They have live music from around 3-6 each Sunday in the Summer. If not it is still worth the Visit. Perry is a nice guy. We also enjoy the wines from...

    so i have this theory

This goes a bit against advice.... BUT, I did a Cornucopia Tropical Reisling from Amazon dot com ($48.00 or a 30 bottle kit incl. shipping). My SWMBO really likes it. Ordered another and may try some of the tweak by adding part of the Fpack into the primary to boost the starting SG, and...

    Low specific gravity

You can always stabilize with Sorbate, add K-Meta then back sweeten with a simple syrup of sugar disolved in water. Test it in small amounts and be careful not to oversweeten.

I talked to a small local winery. He has music on Sundays and asks folks to recycle bottles. I get all I want from him. It saves him hauling them to the recycling center!!! He also said he would sell me new bottles for $12.00 per dozen. Makes me wonder if its worth it to clean and...
