    Endless Summer Winery

Is your winery going to participate in the winery passport program that MissouriWine.org puts on? We are planning on taking some trips soon to get our passports stamped when we visit wineries. I have no idea if the program costs the wineries that are in it or not, but it could be a way to get...

    Hello from the North Coast

Welcome to the forum! I'd like to see what you've turned your basement into. Maybe what you've done will give me ideas, especially on wine rack construction.

    Racking question

That will work, but it's easier to have +1 carboys. In other words, always have an empty to rack into, clean it and leave it empty for the next racking

    Steam juice or not?

I have a recipe for tomato wine that says to cut the tomatos into small pieces and put them in a straining bag. Couldn't I juice them in my new steam juicer, instead? If so, should I put the pulp in the bag, or just use the juice by itself? This will be the first time I've used a steam...

    Peppering a wine?

We have batch of 'corn whiskey wine' in secondary now. The recipe called fot peppercorns in the strainer bag with the corn during primary fermentation. If memory serves,it called for 12, but we used 20. Anxious for it to clear so we can taste!

    Sorbate gone bad?

Yea, I was hoping for some sort of test to see if srobate is good or not. I'm thinking the wine wasn't degassed enough. After adding more sugar, the SG didn't change in a month. Could the corks pop after 2 weeks because the wine was offgassing? Now, thanks to Wade, I have a vacuum pump. I...
