    thank you all!! I wound up adding 5 and half pounds sugar 15 can of frozen apple juice Kroger brand 100 % juice . My reading before I added yeast was 1.100. Now it bubbling like crazy ..looks a little cloudy, but from what I understand that to be expected

    Ok...I'm following my Friend's Brother-in-laws recipe. He makes a GREAT wine!! 6 can frozen 100%juice 5 lbs sugar water etc everything went as he said....after fermentation my alcohol was at 15%. He then told me to add 3 teaspoons of potassium sorbate and stir like crazy until bubbles...

    That's exactly what my problem was!! TY SIR!! my alcohol is a 5....so I added a little more water and sugar. It foamed and reattached bubblier and gonna wait another week.Thank you again for all your wisdom much appreciated...Schatzie

    Thank you Paul..I have the potassium sorbate and Biofine clear. I also used the turbo yeast express in my fermentation . I just tried the hydrometer again, Its doesn't float. I filled up the plastic container the hydrometer came in and swirled in around and it sunk to the bottom and wont float...
