I'd make it right out of the box. I tweaked a few kits with grain alcohol and some bananas. I had to wait 9 months before I could approach it. Now, it is very smooth but quite potent. :)
Just make it as per the instructions and you will be very happy. Good luck

I ordered two kits of the Petit Verdot and two of the Red Mountain. I've been out from making wine for almost a year due to illness and am jumping back in; perhaps it's diving back in. :)
In a perfect world that would be nice where a consumer notifies the seller of an expired card. However, that is just not reality. I would much rather pay later but I like the low price and if prepaying locks in that low price, then so be it. If you can get it for the same price and pay upon...
Todd, I know the feeling all too well. Good luck bottling and I agree with you on CC kits; they are way overpriced for me too. Especially when you have kits as good or better from WE and RJ. In fact, there are too many great kits to choose from. :D
I think prepaying is a great way to do business. It is a done deal and I do not have to play phone tag like I did once before. I ordered a kit from a merchant, no prepayment. My cc expired and he failed to notify me on time. I never got the kit because he said he was not able to contact me but I...
Thank you for all that but I'm turned off with CC kits as I think prices are too high for what you get. If you look at pricing and what some retailers are making it is safe to say they are gouging because of lack of competition with CC kits. Unlike WE and RJ who have much competition which is...
I just ordered the Shiraz/Cab and the Cab/Merlot. Mine were about $10 less but not a big deal.
I haven't made a kit in a while and am looking forward to getting back into it. These should be good.
Hello Everyone:

I agree with others who say that cellar craft is too high priced...
