    I used fresh grapes. 3 gallon recipe required pot to be filled 51% full of fruit and then add enough water to fill the pot up to 75% full.     Awesome thanks. I didnt get a initial sg reading (ugh). After reading your message I did move it to a warmer spot. I'll check the SG reading and like you said once it's dry ill rack it off to a new carboy and go from there. appreciate your help

    Thanks. Im gonna try and add the sugar. If I add the sugar and yeast nutrient but nothing activates should I consider adding new yeast after a few days? And should record a hydrometer reading or is too late?

    I didn't any sugar at all at any point. I also racked the wine once into 3 separate gallon carbouys. Are vinometers affective? I'm about to have really bad salad dressing. LOL

    I have 3 gallons of white grape wine that seems very bitter and not very strong. It's still under airlock and it's about a month old. Can I add new yeast and more sugar to hopefully increase the alcohol volume? I did not get a SG reading and initially and I hydrometer simply reads "finished wine"

    That'll work. I do have a hydrometer I just haven't checked the gravity since I initially racked it. At that time the hydrometer showed it under "wine". Next time I'll note the exact number. Thanks a lot for the help.

    I have 3 gallons of white wine. It's a little over 3 weeks old and the air lock is bubbling every 2 minutes or so. Do you think fermentation is done? I did rack it after the first week from a bucket to a carboy.

    First Try at Blueberry

    Im green so im Not sure if im under the right forum. I used a 6 gallon carbouy as my primary fermenter for my first batch of mead. Is this going to be ok? Its been 2 weeks and it still looks to be very active.
