So far so good! I believe they are Concord if not Niagara. I have two other vines one was planted last year and the other this year.

3 years old... Last spring my dog bit the stem off at damn near the ground.... So it had to start over but grew fast because it had a really good root base. So I should have had grapes last year but didn't... I'm pretty pumped about it.

Finally might have grapes for the first time ever! Apparently my phone was not oriented properly on the first picture. Sorry.

If you look under my previous post "vine/first fruit questions" You will see pictures of my vine. Can I save the 2 vines? Transplant? or is it not even worth trying?

I'm not going to punish my dog... I've worked very hard to get my vine to this point. It was going to fruit this season and it's all destroyed. I'm getting I wont see my first fruit until next season now.

Michigan Zone 6 HARD WINTER!

My vine is probably 8 feet long and has finally reached the top of my arbor. I surely hope it does not start off back at the ground again.

Is there anything special I should do to prepare my vine for winter? This is my first year having a vine going into winter.

Ok sounds good. I did cut the 3 suckers off and I decided to cut back the smallest of the 3 vines that I had on the post. I now have 2 very strong stems coming off the base of the vine. I re wrapped them around the post and secured it with plant ties. If there is anything I need to do to...

The bottom picture is the 3 big main vines I have going up the post. The second picture the 2 small vines on the far right and the one going to the left are the 3 that are currently on the ground. I don't know what I should do with them. I am looking for any advice. Thanks!
