I haven't used a fining agent, nor did I really want to. I did hit it with plenty of pectic

I have a pear wine that I think is clear. I can actually read anything I put behind the carboy.
My question is why can I still see the flashlight beam through the carboy instead of just a

I have 5 gallons of pear that I started last September and am still waiting for it to clear. It

Waldo,I steam juiced mine and it turned out really well. I started my batch in February and

Thanks for the link Tepe. I plan on picking a ton of them this year and that's some useful
information. The wild bushes on our farm have never gotten as big as the ones on Cracked Cork's

Eland, How long did it take to do 27# of pears via the steamer/juices? Tepe, if I remember

An update on this wine:I racked again on 02/24/08 into another secondary. The 1 gallon jug was
very clear already, while the 5 gallon carboy is still somewhat hazy. The taste was actually
