    I transplanted 20 (6-8') in late summer (with drip irrig setup). All died!

    I've planted them in spring & fall here ni N La (zone 8) & those planted in fall always
    did better.

    That's it Richard. No ill effects from drinking it. I froze it from last summer to late Fall
    before I made it, maybe that helped. Also it was added to a can of Elderberry.

    At the first Winestock someone brought a fig wint that was delish Maybe they will share their
    recipe. The recipe might have come from Jack Keller.

    Guesta, I've used them both as primary/secondary fermenters & to age several batches of
    blueberry wine for as much as 6 mos & never had any ill effects.Bruce
