Haven't heard any harvest projections yet, but I've got my order started with M&M for the grapes that go quickly. Got the first list from Brehm for their fall stuff a couple of days ago too. FVW just sent out their Cali grape list, grapes expected Oct 1.

Just saw these brix numbers from the other day at a nearby vineyard in the Sierra Foothills of northern California.

Verdelho 22
Tempranillo 20
Vermentino 16
Mouvedre 14.5
Grenache 17

So, yes, it does appear to be running a bit early.

Has anyone heard rumors on substantial price increases for lugs of grapes this year? I read somewhere of prices in the $70-80/36# lug range. Anyone else see that?

I had read something similar, but on further review, it seemed it was for 'high end' grapes. Haven't heard from my source yet though.
