This year I just thought I'd need a few replacements where I knew last years rooted plants were very weak and a short row by the house if I had extras. I'm trying something new. I had each variety in a zip lock in wet potting soil and put them on a heating pad for a week.
I then put them in 1 liter Pop bottles and back on the heating pad. So far out of 22 bottles, 17 have rooted and are putting out leaves. 3 Carmenere were take from very young plants and the cuttings were quite thin and I didn't expect much from them, and they are 3 that haven't done anything yet.
They look like this now. I will repot to gallon size pots when I have time.
