Hi all, I am new to wine making. I have just made my first batch of 11 bottles of Rose wine which has turned out good.

I am now about to set away making a batch of peach wine and also a batch of blackcurrant wine.

Just a quick question with regards to the water I will be using. This time round I have decided to use bottled water from the supermarket rather than the very hard water that comes from our tap. Will I still need to boil the bottled water or can I just use it straight from the bottle? The wine instructions say to use cool boiled water but I am wondering if this is still necessary on the bottled water?

Thanks for any advise!

I use bottled water. i would say if you use bottled water, then there is no need to boil......unless you are boiling to add warm or hot water to get must temps up, not for bacteria purposes. I actually boiled mine, but to get temps up.

I use bottled spring water. If you're using bottled water, don't use distilled.
