Interesting article from WA Wine Report on the current state of grape production in WA. Still a LOT of white wine grapes being produced but Cab is King like everywhere else.

Interesting. I know a local vineyard that is grafting over some of their whites with red. Can't sell them is what I was told. Seems the local tasting room crowd has swung from white to red.

Also of note is that in eastern Washington, 2015 was a wonderfully long season with most harvests reported 2-3 weeks early.
 
It was a really long hot spring and summer, the snow pack was down so irrigation was somewhat limited depending on your water rights. All crops were way ahead of schedule. Snow pack and reservoirs are looking a lot better this year but we still have more winter to come.
