Got hit very hard with a freeze on Sat morning (28*f) lost all my Frontenac Gris and petite Pearl. Am hoping for secondary buds. Should I pull of all dead vegetation or just leave it?

Hi TonyR, not sure what you should do but I wanted to bump the thread. @Grapeman, would know what to do.

Generally you can just leave the frosted stuff on and it will fall off. I would wait until the new buds push and if the dead stuff doesn't fall away carefully prune it off and clean up. A lot of folks got caught by that late freeze. I have a friend near Saratoga NY that lost his whole vineyard (bearing age) of Marquette that same day. It is 90 here right now at 7:00 PM after 34 Saturday morning.

Sorry to see your loss. That is extreme weather. I do not think our night temp dropped below 50F. Today it is 90+ high.

Hope you can recover quickly.
